List Of United States Army Careers
The United States Army uses various personnel management systems to classify soldiers in different specialties which they receive specialized and formal training on once they have successfully completed Basic Combat Training .
Enlisted soldiers are categorized by their assigned job called a Military Occupational Specialty . MOS are labeled with a short alphanumerical code called a military occupational core specialty code , which consists of a two-digit number appended by a Latin letter. Related MOSs are grouped together by Career Management Fields . For example, an enlisted soldier with MOSC 11B works as an infantryman , and is part of CMF 11 .
Commissioned officers are classified by their area of concentration, or AOC. Just like enlisted MOSCs, AOCs are two digits plus a letter. Related AOCs are grouped together by specific branch of the Army or by broader in scope functional areas . Typically, an officer will start in an AOC of a specific branch and move up to an FA AOC.
Warrant officers are classified by warrant officer military occupational specialty, or WOMOS. Codes consists of three digits plus a letter. Related WOMOS are grouped together by Army branch.
The Army is currently restructuring its personnel management systems, as of 2019. Changes took place in 2004 and continued into 2013. Changes include deleting obsolete jobs, merging redundant jobs, and using common numbers for both enlisted CMFs and officer AOCs .
About The Army Reserve
The Army Reserve is the largest of the Reserve Forces. The Army Reserve provides support to the Regular Army at home and overseas, and throughout its history almost every major operation has seen reservists operate alongside their Regular counterparts.
Army Reserve Soldiers come from all walks of life and work part-time as soldiers for the British Army alongside full-time Regular soldiers.
Regular Reservists are soldiers who have left the Regular army but are recalled in times of need to come back and join operations alongside Regular soldiers.

Army Refutes Alleged Corruption Negligence Of Troops Welfare
The 7 Division of the Nigerian Army fighting Boko Haram and other criminal elements in the North East has debunked reports of corruption and negligence of troops welfare.
This was contained in a press statement signed by the Acting Deputy Director Army Public Relations, 7 Division Nigerian Army, Major Adamu Umar which was made available to our Correspondent at the weekend.
He said, The attention of 7 Division Nigerian Army has been drawn to an online malicious and misinforming report published by an online medium on 22 December 2022 against the General Officer Commanding 7 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Waidi Shaibu.
The Division hereby wishes to state that the report is false, untrue and misleading and will respond to the contents without joining issues with the anti-establishment agent.
Analyzing the contents of the malignant report, it is obvious that the so called source was spiteful for having missed out of the recent special promotion exercise and the allegations shows smack of ignorance on all issues raised therein.
Hence the response of the Division will be educative in outlook and align with that of luminary minds like Anthony Kennedy who posited that the remedy for false speech is a speech that is true while the response to an uninformed article is the enlightened piece and to a straight out lie is a simple truth.

S For Joining The Military
Start by doing some research about your options for joining the military. Learn about the six active-duty branches and their part-time counterparts. Know the main differences between officers and enlisted members. And explore the career fields you can enter for each branch.
Once you know which branch youre considering, contact a recruiter. A recruiter will give you an overview and answer your questions about that service. If youre interested in more than one branch, contact a recruiter for each. If youre interested in joining as an officer, the recruiter will explain any options you may be eligible for.
If you decide to enlist, you will report to a military entrance processing station . Youll spend a day or two completing pre-enlistment steps. These include taking the ASVAB, having a physical exam, meeting with a career counselor, and if youre accepted, taking the oath of enlistment. From there youll receive orders for basic training, usually to start within a few weeks. If you enrolled in a delayed entry program, youll go home and get orders for basic training within a year.

More Information About Eligibility Requirements
You can receive benefits until your eligibility period ends or you use all of your entitlement, whichever comes first. Entitlement means the number of months of benefits you may receive.
We may extend your eligibility period if youre called to active duty. If this happens, well extend your eligibility for the amount of time youre mobilized plus 4 months. For example, if youre mobilized for 12 months, well extend your eligibility period for 16 months. This extension still applies even if you leave the Selected Reserve after mobilization.
This depends on the reason you left. Your eligibility for this program usually ends the day you leave the Selected Reserve. But there are exceptions to this rule.
You can still qualify for MGIB-SR benefits for 14 years from the date of your first 6-year obligation if any of these descriptions are true for you.
At least one of these must be true:
- You separated because of a disability that wasnt caused by misconduct, or
- Your unit was deactivated between October 1, 2007, and September 30, 2014, or
- You involuntarily separated for reasons other than misconduct between October 1, 2007, and September 30, 2014

From General Brian Peddle
is timely as it challenges us to engage personally in an active, obedient faith. We are becoming increasingly aware of the ways in which our world is interconnected. How we relate to each other as individuals, communities and nations is crucial for our society and environment. It is my conviction that will provide a most helpful framework to think about these matters, and more.
It will help us understand how Salvationist beliefs shape our actions. It will draw attention to the importance of worship. My prayer is that as you study its contents, you will grow in your conviction that Salvation Army soldiership is a calling of immense importance. Bring questions to your study, and bring your openness to the God who calls us into his service and mission.
In Day by Day Commissioner Robert Street has taken the Generals call to the Army and made it personal. Though I recognise the global call on the Army, I know it fails lacking legs, hands and voice unless our soldiers step up and step out .
Out of a heart made right by God stands our Army, not resigned to the trenches but advancing by his grace, bringing good news, shining light into darkness and, yes, challenging the injustices of an all-too-tolerant world.
