Unfortunately, as of May 2019, the answer to that question is no.
I spoke directly with a manager at a local Best Buy, and he informed me that they have not had an official military discount available for several years.

A Missed Marketing Opportunity
There are over 18 million Veterans living in the United States today, as well as almost 1.2 million members in active duty. When you throw in the nearly 780,000 members of the reserves, you have around 20 million Americans in the military community. This extends even further when you consider their family members, only adding to a glaring missed opportunity by the electronics giant.

On another note, I was researching through the Best Buy forums to see if any military discounts were available.
In response to a question posed by one of the forum members, heres what the Best Buy rep had to say:

Its true we do not have an official military discount currently in place, but not having a formal policy in place doesnt stop us from making sure our customers find the best deals out there to help them save some money. We have promotions which last all week to some that only last for an hour so be sure to adjust your account settings to receive the most current and up to date sales!
Any discounts outside of policy would be left to the stores sole discretion. I truly hope you are able to take advantage of one of the many sales we offer here soon and never hesitate to reach back out to us if you have any other question, comments, or concerns!
So clearly they do not have one.

No, there isnt any discount on appliances because there is, sadly, no Best Buy military discount available for any purchases.
To be fair, in terms of appliances, this is in line with many other major appliance retailers. The top three in the U.S. are Lowes, Home Depot, and Best Buy.
While both Lowes and Home Depot offer discounts to the military community, they also both exclude applying the discount to major appliances as part of their individual terms and conditions.

Best Buy is not offering Military online discounts currently, but a suggestion has been made to provide a discount of 10-20%.

In case Best Buy starts offering a Veterans Day or Military discount, you can use any of the following as proof:

Best Buy offers deals to students who are currently attending a college or university, are planning on doing so, or are the parent of someone attending school.
Obviously this is not a military discount.
With that said, the best part about Best Buys student discount is you dont even need to be a student!
Best Buy doesnt exactly offer a specific % discount for students and their families.
What they do offer is weekly student deals that could literally help you save as much as $10 $200 on your order.
